We're Sophia and Olivia, two sisters with a love for creating a peaceful, warmth filled home through cooking and homemaking.
Welcome to our cozy little corner of the internet where we share what we're cooking in our kitchen. As young wives as well as mamas fresh into motherhood, we're finding joy in cultivating homes filled with warmth and comfort.
Our love for homemaking, cooking and baking comes from growing up with a mother who prioritized each of those things. She was crunchy before it was ever trendy, choosing to make most of our meals from scratch and cook with wholesome ingredients.
Those well-lived years at home fueled our passion to become homemakers ourselves. As we've both entered into marriage and now motherhood, we've begun making those same delicious recipes we grew up with.
Both our mother and our Grandma handed down countless cooking tips, tricks and recipes to us that we now get to share with you. Years of learning, testing, and experimenting in the kitchen has brought us to start This Hygge Home!

"Hygge" is a danish word that means to have a quality of coziness or comfortability in any given environment. It makes a person feel content and at home. It's often connected to informal time with family and friends while also centering around food!
We're here to help you bring a sense of hygge to your own home by sharing simple, cozy meals and everyday homemaking rhythms.

Olivia
Married at 18 and now a young mama at 20, Olivia loves baking, all things sourdough, daily walks with her newborn and time well spent with her husband.
She prioritizes her relationship with Jesus Christ above everything else and aims to glorify Him in all that she does.
Nestled in a quaint brick house in the quiet country of PA, Olivia also enjoys tending to her backyard chickens and cultivating the garden.
Sophia
A military wife and mama to 2 littles, Sophia loves to be at home baking sourdough bread, drinking hot coffee and snuggling her babies.
Also a follower of Jesus, she aims to glorify Him through all things, especially in the way that she runs and manages her home.
Sophia looks forward to any time spent outside in the sunshine, sweet moments with her husband and time well spent with her family.
