How to Make Garlic Bread with Sliced Bread Step-by-Step

To start, add all of the garlic spread ingredients into a small bowl. This includes the softened butter, freshly chopped parsley, minced garlic, garlic powder, shredded parmesan cheese, and a bit of salt. Mix all the ingredients together until you have an evenly distributed spread.

Second, once your ingredients are combined, spread it evenly on top of your sliced bread.

Next, place the prepared garlic bread on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Then, bake in a 400-degree oven for 10 minutes. Turn the broiler on low and allow to broil for 3 more minutes. The bread should be slightly crispy.

Lastly, serve immediately and enjoy!
Tips
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes into the butter spread.
- Be sure the mixture is spread evenly. This will make for equal crispiness all around.
- If desired, top with more chopped parsley for a fresh look.
- To soften your butter quickly, put it in the microwave for a few seconds.
- In addition to the parsley, feel free to add in oregano or Italian seasoning for more flavor.

Ingredients
Fresh garlic - Freshly minced garlic will give it that zingy garlic flavor.
Garlic powder
Butter - salted or unsalted will work.
Fresh parsley - oregano or Italian seasoning would work as well. I will say, fresh herbs makes all the difference! Be sure to save some for garnishing.
Parmesan cheese - If you are buying the cheese already shredded, get it thinly shredded. For a cheese pull, add in a bit of mozzarella!
Salt - Just a pinch of it goes a long way. Salt helps to bring out the flavors of the other ingredients.
Sliced bread - Any sliced bread will work. For this recipe, I used homemade sourdough.
Tools You Will Need
Baking sheet
Small bowl
Butter knife
Parchment paper - This is optional, but it makes for easy cleanup and nonstick!
