How to Make Ground Beef Stuffed Peppers Step-by-Step
To start, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Next, prepare the peppers that we will be stuffing. To prepare them, cut the tops off enough to create an opening large enough to put our ground beef filling in. Don't throw away the excess pepper we cut off! Those can still be used.

Thirdly, after the peppers are prepared, add them into a 9x13 dish (or an oven safe dish large enough to hold all 5) and place in the preheated oven. If your oven isn't done preheating yet, still place the peppers in.
Fourth, let's move onto the filling.
In a cast iron skillet, add in the chopped onion and ground beef. Break up the ground beef as it browns in the pan.
Now that the ground beef is fully cooked through, add in the rinsed and drained black beans and the canned tomatoes.

Next, to the filling mixture, add in the seasonings - paprika, salt, Italian seasoning, ground pepper, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
Once the seasonings are added, allow the filling to cook for another 2 minutes or so to let the spices deepen in flavor. Turn off the heat.
Remove the peppers from the oven. They should be a bit soft.
Lastly, add the filling to the cooked peppers and top with a bit of shredded cheese. Place back in the oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melty and slightly brown on the edges.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
