Who Needs A Meal Plan?
Creating a family meal plan might be helpful for you if...
- You find yourself stressfully or frantically throwing dinner together every night.
- It feels like a huge mental load to figure out what to cook for dinner.
- Staying organized and writing out lists is something that you enjoy.
- Members of your family are often wondering what's for dinner this week and you need something to point them to for clarity.
- The late afternoon/evening hours are often busy for your family.
- You'd like to save money on groceries and quit buying excess ingredients that never get used.
There's many reasons why someone may want to create a family meal plan, but ultimately it comes down to this: a meal plan is meant to simplify your life.
I usually sit down for 5-10 minutes either Saturday or Sunday afternoon to write out my meal plan. All I do is look at what ingredients I already have in my fridge and pantry. Then, I come up with simple recipes I can make with those and create a grocery list of things I'll need to buy. It's that easy!
